Pretty sure this car has yet to move in at least the last two years. It’s on a street of University owned houses, so I figured it was abandoned, but the registration is still good until April.

I don’t understand why some people keep their cars registered if they literally never move in years.

There was an old work truck in my neighborhood that hadn’t moved in about 15 years, yet the guy kept it registered.

I think the Chevy is an 86.

I’m pretty sure some HOAs and cities will not let you street-park an unregistered car. When the registration lapses, it’s “abandoned” and they tow it. Mix that with nostalgia and “I’ll get around to it”, and $100 a year isn’t so much.

The badge had fallen off the trunk, but I’m pretty sure it’s an Impala.

I don’t know about other places, but around here, so long as it’s registered, they can’t touch it.

If it’s unregistered, they can give you a removal notice, which forces you to get rid of it.

Yep, looks like a relatively basic car, almost an undercover cop car from back in the day.

That’s true, this guy also seemed to just hoard stuff.

I know he passed a couple years back and I remember his neighbors saying he had tons of tools and random car parts scattered through his house and yard.
